About Cornerstones of Care

Cornerstones of Care is a trauma-informed behavioral healthcare nonprofit that partners with the community to improve the safety and health of children and families in Kansas, Missouri and beyond through six key service areas:

• Education
• Mental & Behavioral Health
• Foster Care & Adoption
• Youth Support
• Family Support
• Community Training

In 1990, Cornerstones of Care developed the Behavior Intervention Support Team (BIST) program in response to the community’s need to better serve students in their own school districts. Today, our staff partner with educators and parents to develop proactive strategies tailored to provide youth with hope, skills and opportunities to learn in an inclusive and safe environment in order to succeed and realize their full potential.
